GSSCC worked closely with the County and Montgomery College to support the school’s expansion efforts, resulting in the approval of $8.7 million for design and land acquisition to extend the campus into South Silver Spring. Growth will also be spurred as Montgomery College’s campus in adjacent Takoma Park expands into South Silver Spring. Construction is underway for the College’s new Cultural Arts Center, which will feature a variety of cross-cultural performances and events for all ages. It will include a 500-seat dance and music theatre with state-of-the-art stage and acoustics, as well as a 100-seat theatre that will be used as a classroom and for performances. < Back |
