Part of a successful urban redevelopment program includes the influx of new residents to the downtown area, and GSSCC has been vocal in its support of downtown residential projects that would enliven the commercial area. GSSCC has supported numerous new developments as they have been been planned and proposed for Silver Spring, including the Cameron Hill luxury town home development, which sold out ahead of projections in 1999, and more recently, several apartment and condominium projects, including JBG Properties' Sovereign Gateway and Silver Spring Gateway projects, KSI's Ripley Street apartment and condominium project, and Patriot Group's Kennett Street and Crescent condominium projects. < Back |
